KelAir Campotel is a 100% Irish-owned and operated company, now entering our 41st year of providing high-quality family holidays in France and Spain. We are looking for reliable, motivated couples to join our team as Mature Couple Campsite Couriers.

What is the Contract?

The majority of our Mature Couple campsites operate on either 25-hour-per-week or 35-hour-per-week contract per person.

What Does the Job Actually Involve?

Being a KelAir Campotel Courier can be fun and offers a sociable lifestyle, but it does involve a demanding workload, a high level of flexibility, strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

You and your spouse/partner will be responsible for the running and operation of the KelAir Campotel on your assigned campsite, with regular communication, supervision and guidance from KelAir’s overseas and Irish Management teams.

• You will travel comfortably by ferry to France or Spain in your own car and make your way to your designated campsite. On arrival, you will begin ‘montage’ of your mobile homes. This involves setting up the guest accommodation for the start of the season, including the initial deep clean and preparation of the holiday homes following winter storage, as well as preparing your KelAir Reception Area. To give you an idea of our standards, a deep clean of a mobile home at the start of the season can take two people at least 4 hours.
• During the season, you will prepare and thoroughly clean the mobile homes after each client departs. This includes cleaning all kitchen inventory, surfaces and counters, toilets, showers, sinks, areas under beds and seating, windows, decking and garden furniture, as well as putting fresh linen on the beds. KelAir Campotel has exceptionally high standards of cleanliness, and every mobile home should give the family the feeling that they are the first guests to stay in it. This is one of the things that distinguishes us from our competitors.
• You will personally greet arriving customers, help them settle into their accommodation, provide advice and information, and explain the full range of KelAir Campotel services and campsite facilities.
• As KelAir Campotel representatives on site, your primary responsibilities are preparing the accommodation to exceptionally high standards and providing excellent customer care. You will deal efficiently and effectively with any problems or emergencies, maintain regular contact with our guests during their stay, check gas supplies and change gas when required, helping to ensure our guests have an enjoyable, trouble-free holiday.
• You will check out departing guests and bid them farewell. You will also be responsible for maintaining and operating the KelAir Campotel Reception Area, which must always be a well-presented and attractive focal point. You will be provided with the appropriate KelAir uniform.
• Your Area Manager will be on hand throughout the season to guide and assist you, along with helping with standard paperwork and documentation, which must be completed regularly.
• At the end of the season, you will complete ‘demontage’, preparing the mobile homes, equipment and reception area for winter storage after the final guests have departed.

A Campsite Courier Needs To:

• Have a very keen eye and exceptional attention to detail.
• Be willing to use a common-sense approach to all activities.
• Be a people person who enjoys meeting and helping others.
• Have a strong work ethic and a high level of self-motivation.
• Be able to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Be able to take feedback and deal positively with constructive criticism.
• Enjoy working with people and the public, including in challenging situations.
• Be fully flexible and cooperative at all times.
• Be comfortable with the physical demands of cleaning and preparing accommodation.
• Have the ability to carry out light maintenance when required.

A €300 accommodation deposit per couple is required and is fully refundable upon completion of your contract.

More Than Just a Job

This is not a holiday. There are busy periods, physical work and days when the workload can be demanding. However, for couples who enjoy being active, working together, meeting people and experiencing something different, it can be a very rewarding way to spend part of the year.

Many of our Mature Couple Couriers return to KelAir season after season, and we are proud of the strong relationships we have built with our returning staff.
