Located just across the road from its sister resort, La Sirène, L’Hippocampe offers a quieter, more relaxed holiday experience, making it ideal for families with younger children. The entire resort is fully pedestrianised, giving parents extra peace of mind and allowing children to play safely.
Guests can cool off in the laid-back pool complex, which features waterslides, water jets and fountains, or enjoy a game of ping-pong or pétanque in the sunshine. Teenagers can take part in a range of beach sports nearby, including beach soccer, rugby, volleyball and sandball, while younger children are welcome to join activities at La Sirène’s popular Syppox Kids Club.
One of the highlights of staying at L’Hippocampe is access to the facilities and entertainment at La Sirène, just a short walk away. The whole family can enjoy the lively evening programme, including shows and live music, while still returning to the calmer atmosphere of L’Hippocampe afterwards (please note that some evening noise may be heard due to the nearby entertainment).

Swimming pool regulations
General
Use of the pools is free and pools are generally not heated (unless otherwise specified). Some resorts require special bracelets to be worn in the swimming pool area at a refundable fee. There may be a charge for on-site Water Parks.
Swimwear
Due to hygiene regulations, many park owners have banned swim shorts. Please pack conventional lycra-style swimwear, though they can usually be purchased locally. Conventional swimwear only is permitted in and around swimming pools, i.e. Speedo or boxer swimwear. No t-shirts or shorts to be worn.Swimming caps may be required in some sites.
Pool Attendants
Not all resorts have pool attendants on duty and those that do may only be present in July or August, or for a limited time during the day. We strongly advise you supervise your children at all times when they are using swimming pool/water chutes/slides.
Water Chutes and Waterslides
Each resort will have its own regulations clearly indicated, that may relate to age, height and opening times. Pools, water chutes and waterslides are used at the customers’ own risk.

- New Amenities (2026 Season):

- Slides: Three new giant waterslides, including a Space Bowl.
- Features: A new semi-Olympic heated pool and an outdoor heated family lagoon.
